Kevlar / Aramid Sleeves are high-performance protective sleeves manufactured from DuPont™ Kevlar® aramid yarn, designed for applications requiring exceptional strength, heat resistance, abrasion protection, and dimensional stability. These sleeves are available in braided or twisted constructions, offering excellent flexibility and adaptability to straight or curved components.
Kevlar aramid fiber is known for its extremely high tensile strength (5–6 times stronger than steel by weight), high modulus, low elongation, and outstanding thermal stability. The sleeves maintain performance across a wide temperature range and exhibit zero shrinkage at elevated temperatures, making them ideal for continuous high-temperature industrial use. They do not melt or decompose easily and provide long service life even in harsh environments.
Kevlar sleeves expand or contract in diameter based on axial movement, allowing easy installation over cables, hoses, pipes, and rollers. They are widely used for mechanical protection, thermal shielding, anti-cut protection, wear resistance, and high-temperature insulation, especially in demanding industries such as glass manufacturing, aerospace, electrical protection, and industrial processing.
