Nomex Insulation Paper (NMN) | High-Temperature Flexible Laminate Insulation
Nomex Insulation Paper (NMN) is a high-performance flexible laminated electrical insulation material designed for Class F and Class H applications. It is a three-ply composite laminate consisting of a polyester film core bonded between two layers of Nomex® aramid paper. This construction provides an excellent balance of thermal endurance, dielectric strength, and mechanical robustness.

Nomex Insulation Paper (NPN) is a high-performance flexible laminated electrical insulation material designed for Class F and Class H applications. It is a three-ply composite laminate consisting of a polyester film core bonded between two layers of Nomex® aramid paper. This construction provides an excellent balance of thermal endurance, dielectric strength, and mechanical robustness.
Nomex® paper is well known for its outstanding heat resistance and long-term thermal stability, making NMN laminates highly reliable in demanding operating conditions. The polyester film layer contributes excellent mechanical strength, dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, and strong dielectric performance. Together, these layers enhance the efficiency, safety, and service life of rotating electrical machines.
NPN insulation laminates are commonly used in motors and generators operating up to 180 °C, and are widely applied in both production and repair environments. Typical uses include slot liners, wedges, phase insulation, and interlayer insulation in Class H motors and generators, as well as large and specialty Class F motors. NMN can be supplied in rolls, sheets, or cut formats to suit different manufacturing requirements.
