Dielectric strength proportional to thickness The higher gauge of the film, from 25 to 50 microns, leads to higher insulation resistance and voltage breakdown margin, thus providing 50 Micron Polyimide Film significantly better high-voltage performance compared to thinner films, but being significantly more flexible than the 125 micron film.
Thermal stability even at extreme temperatures The film operates well from cryogenic conditions to operation above 180°С constantly and up to 400°С temporarily – which is an inherent property of the polyimide polymer material that does not depend on the film gauge.
