NMN Insulation Paper Manufacturer in India
Nomex + Mylar + Nomex (Aramid + Polyester + Aramid) — Class H, 155°C Insulation Laminate
Harnawa Insulations is a respected NMN insulation paper manufacturer in India, manufacturing the three layer Aramid – Polyester – Aramid composite as a part of our range of Laminated Insulation Paper Composites. NMN is an abbreviation for Nomex + Mylar (polyester film) + Nomex and the product is manufactured as per the international GB/T 5591.3-2008 specification and is UL Approved (E310670).
What is NMN Insulation Paper?
The NMN insulation laminate is a composite laminate comprising the bonding of a polyester film (PET) core between two sheets of aramid/Nomex paper through a high temperature adhesive bonding process. The combination of the two materials results in an insulation material that is both mechanically strong and stable with aging, having good dielectric properties and dimensional stability. It is a Class F, 155°C insulation material.
Unlike our Class H laminates, such as AHA and NHN, which have a polyimide film core, the NMN insulation laminate has a polyester film core, and therefore, it is a better option where Class F performance is adequate.

A Note on “H Class” Searches
If you’re specifically looking for an H-Class (180°C) laminate rather than F-Class (155°C), NMN is not the right fit — you’ll want our
AHA Composite Polyimide Insulation Paper
or
NHN Insulation Paper
, both of which use a polyimide film core to achieve Class H performance. NMN is purpose-built for F-Class applications where 155°C thermal performance meets your requirements at a more economical cost.
Applications
- Slot Insulation — Lining motor and generator stator slots
- Inter-Turn Insulation — Between winding turns within a coil
- Liner Insulation — General insulation lining in F-Class electrical equipment

Frequently Asked Questions
1.What is NMN?
NMN is Nomex + Mylar + Nomex – composite material consisting of PET (Mylar/PET) film and two outer layers of Nomex (aramid) paper.
2.Is NMN Class F or Class H insulation paper?
NMN is a Class F (155°C) insulation paper. For Class H (180°C) requirements, refer to our AHA or NHN laminates instead.
3.Is NMN insulation paper equivalent to APA laminate?
Both materials have nearly identical properties and structures. NMN is internationally known designation (per GB/T 5591.3-2008). APA is Harnawa designation for the same material type.
4.Are there any other grades besides 0.13mm and 0.47mm?
We offer nine grades of NMN insulation paper with thicknesses between 0.13mm to 0.47mm and with break-down voltage from ≥6kV to ≥28kV.
5.Why order from Indian NMN insulation paper manufacturer rather than importing?
Ordering from us as NMN insulation paper manufacturer in India will save you time, money on import duties and shipping costs, and give you direct technical assistance for your application.
